Best Pasta in Brighton hands down!! Mama mi truly is one of Brightons best hidden gems. Giuseppe (the main man) is incredibly kind and charismatic and clearly loves what he does! The whole vibe of the restaurant is great too, really feels like you're back in Italy. The bruschetta was the tastiest I ever had in my life (I've had a lot) and the food overall was incredible! Shame about the opening hours but I heard they will do evening service once a week in winter.

Came here on Wednesday with my boyfriend and friends having been recommended from a family a friend, the food was absolutely delicious, so fresh and tasty and very generous portions. Couldn’t recommend enough to anyone wondering in hove

Friendly waitress with a big smile, and super food cooked from a authentic Italian chef.

The owner, Giuseppe was abrupt and rude towards me. He served me a latte with nearly half the drink being just froth. I asked him to please remove the froth and refill the glass with coffee. His attitude was appalling, he took the glass off me, scooped out the froth and returned my drink to my table, without filling it up. So, I had a latte that was only half full and I hadn't even drunk any at this point. Obviously, I'm not going to pay full price for only half a coffee, so I took it back and politely asked him to please fill it up, as previously stated. He more or less said, "What do you want me to do?", in a rude and disrespectful manner. I AGAIN asked him to please fill my coffee glass up. I went and sat back down and waited for him to bring my coffee back. I waited, and waited, and waited, ages before he returned it to me. Even then, he put it back on the table with no words at all! The funny thing was, after all his messing me around, the coffee tasted burnt and unpleasant! Dreadful treatment to a customer, especially from the owner! I frequent a variety of coffee shops on a regular basis, which I thoroughly enjoy, with great customer service and staff looking after their customers. But I can honestly say, I won't be returning to this one! I don't recommend going to Mamma Mia in George St, Hove, I experienced nothing but appalling treatment and burnt, tasteless coffee! It's a shame!
