Found this lovely place in Brighton during my stay, called North Laine Café. Instantly became my fave!
It's a cozy place close to the train station. Loved the colours, warm beige, black and yellows everywhere. The atmosphere and the staff made me go there several times! Speaking of staff, Alice and Freya kindly served me, and honestly they are the loveliest people ever! Helpful, friendly, amazing both of them! I can wholeheartedly vouch for them.
Can't wait to go back there next year. Thanks a lot for the experience.

I'm a planner. Wherever I go, I usually have a spreadsheet of carefully researched places to eat and drink on trips, so we're not left disappointed. So it was an unexpected delight to stumble upon this cafe, entirely by chance.
We were so impressed with our first visit, we visited again, the next day on our short two day trip.
Firstly, the menu is huge. We literally wanted to try everything. Every dish has something unique about it that has clearly been thought through.
The food was stunning. Perfect. We had lunch one day (mushrooms on toast), and breakfast the next (pancakes and full English) and both were as good as each other. I don't say this lightly, when I say, they make the best hash browns I've ever had. I've tried making hash browns through my love for them and I've left feeling jealous at how they got these so perfect.
Delicious drinks - coffees, juices and smoothies all made fresh. Unlike most cafes - they didn't do my pet hate and fill the glass with ice, which waters down the juice - winner!
The service was attentive, friendly and speedy (on both visits).
We are going to be telling everyone about this absolute gem and will visit as soon as we're back in Brighton.

Firstly, the coffee was exceptional! My friend enjoyed her tea also, really delicious and expertly prepared. Loved the crockery!
It was a bit of a long wait for a table; not at all the fault of serving staff but we thought perhaps the way the tables were allocated could have been changed to improve efficiency & wait times!
good food and menu- the bread was delicious and fresh ingredients. Remember to ask if you want the sandwiches toasted! (Home made rosti / hash brown would recommend! )
Overall would come back here for a casual breakfast, staff do a great job in a busy spot with many hungover patrons.

A lovely little restaurant/coffee shop with a delightful covered outdoor area. Amazing food, delicious and fresh. Extensive menu with lots of options. I went for brunch and had the avocado, eggs and salmon, with the hash browns. Excellent service - friendly, warm and welcoming. The food came out fast too. Overall, excellent. 5 stars and highly recommended.

I had the vegan benedict and it was delicious! A perfect replacement for an egg and tasted incredible. Everything complimented each other and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Wasn't too keen on the coffee here but they did offer oat milk - may just be my preference for coffee though so don't take this as a fact.
