Last night I ordered Lemon Rice takeaway, only to go home and find this white rice with ample oil with no aroma or whatsoever. Apparently they sprinkle a bit of BOTTLED lemon juice it seems.
I’m sorry this is NOT LEMON Rice.
The girl who attended was dismissive and a bit patronising as she kept insisting this is how Lemon Rice will be (and then added, this how it will be in Srilanka).
I’m writing this review only after I’ve confirmed with my Srilankan friends, this is NOT Lemon rice. And I don’t think
I’ve had Lemon rice in TWO Srilankan restaurants in Brighton, TWO in London (KT postcode), One in Bournemouth and I couldn’t begin explain how often I’ve had Lemon Rice since my childhood.
Only reason for this review was because the girl who attended me kept defending that I was wrong and this how Lemon rice is made.
And she said she wouldn’t refund to my card (not a big deal, but didn’t seem right).
I didn’t eat anything else so I COULD NOT COMMENT ON THAT.

We came for some traditional Sri Lankan cuisine as we are an English / Sri Lankan family . The food was delicious and tasty , the service and staff were very friendly . 100/10 for taste . We will be back .

We love this restaurant! Discovered it last year when visiting Brighton and made a point of coming back.
We had never tried Sri Lankan food before so it was really interesting to have a change from Indian/Thai curries and try something new. The food is delicious and can all the dishes can be made more or less spicy according to your taste.
Nice decor and great service too.

Had the food here recommended by a few people. It didn't disappoint. Really enjoyed the chicken roll for starters. The lentil rolls were tasty but a little dry. The aubergine ratatouille was almost sweet and sour. I really enjoyed the devilled chicken and chicken rice. Friendly staff and prompt service. Ate with people who'd travelled there who felt it was very similar to food they had experienced in Sri Lanka.
